New Periscope VIP Program is rolling out today… Here Is All You Need To Know!

Today Periscope announced their start of a Periscope VIP Program. It will help to recognize some of the top broadcasters by offering more visibility a nice badge and tools to help them to create and share their live experiences.

If you are approved for one of the badges, you will get the following email with your status:

A colorful background and badge will be additionally added to your profile and when you visit a profile for the first time there will be a little black box with an explanation:

It will be interesting to see how this will effect reach and viewership and I will post my experiences here soon.

 

Here are all the benefits and requirements:

Updated Requirements from 27th of October 2016:

1. Bronze tier

Benefits:

  • Bronze badge on your Periscope profile
  • Care packages to ensure you look on point while broadcasting
  • Prioritization in people search results, so people can find you more easily
  • Access to the latest best practices and materials to help you create great broadcasts

Minimum Requirements:

  • Average 200+ total live viewers per broadcast
  • Broadcast at least twice a week on average
  • Content and behavior meets our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines

2. Silver tier

  • Includes all Bronze benefits
  • Silver badge on your Periscope Profile
  • Be included in future discovery products
  • Prioritized support – we’ll strive to respond to your questions within 12 hours
  • Private broadcasts from the Periscope team for an inside look at what we are up to
  • A Slack channel with other VIPs to collaborate and build your Periscope network

Minimum Requirements:

  • Average 750+ total live viewers per broadcast
  • Broadcast at least twice a week on average
  • Content and behavior meets their Terms of Service and Community Guidelines

3. Gold Tier:

Benefits:

  • Includes all Bronze and Silver benefits
  • Gold badge on your Periscope profile
  • Elevated access to collaborate with the Periscope team

Minimum Requirements

  • Average 2,000+ total live viewers per broadcast
  • Broadcast at least twice a week on average
  • Content and behavior meets their Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
