Way back four or five years ago, Instagram as you know it was just one of those crude photo sharing platforms – somewhat just for fun and for personal use. However, as the years go by, and thanks to Facebook’s amazing management on the app, it’s now one of the biggest social media platforms that I consider a must for every business. No matter what niche you’re in, Instagram has a good spot for you.

The Basics Why I Consider Instagram a Marketing Necessity
Extreme Monthly Users Growth
First and foremost, this social media platform is on a growth spurt! It is the only mobile app that has significantly – exceptionally – grown over 200 million in just a year. Last year, 2016, they have announced that there are over 500 million in June. Recently, just this April of 2017, which is technically less than a year, it’s now over 700 million monthly active users. That in mind should convince you Instagram is actually dominating, and if your business isn’t joining the party, you’re going to lose big time.
Security and Promise
Another thing why your business should definitely opt for this platform is because it is secure and its features are always being improved – bit by bit. Just like how fast the number of users is growing, so is their game. That’s why people love the app and stays in love with it as there are always new fascinating features popping up every month or two. And to assure you it’s going to be that way for a very long time, I can only tell you that Mark Zuckerberg has no intention of losing to Snapchat. Facebook’s owner will do everything in his power to make give Instagram the sharper edge.
Instagram Is Too Simple – Yet Powerful
Last but not least why Instagram is a must for business is because everyone can use it without having any difficulty. What else can there be, it’s merely all about sharing a picture and describing it. First, it doesn’t take too much time as I know everyone nowadays can take a picture. Second, editing is child’s play as there are filters to choose from that can make dull pictures come to life – so there’s no need to be a pro. And lastly, marketing it is easy, thanks to its hashtag features. Posting a photo on this app will take no more than 20 minutes (that’s quite long already).
Because of these aspects, I consider Instagram to be currently the easiest and fastest means to get exposed online generically. And if you’re not using it yet, you’re simply skipping a gold mine.
